Will Lucky Come??

St. Patrick's Day Fun!

I just love to celebrate holidays and to create lasting memories with my boys. It something that my mom always did with us as kids, my only worry is that because I have boys instead of girls, after they are married the wife will take over and all over their childhood fun and traditions will not be past on... I guess that will be my job as a Grandma, oh my that word is scary to say, so glad that is ages away.

I told my boys that in order to get a visit from Lucky the Leprechaun you have to invite him to your house. I told them that if he decides to stop at your house he will leave gold coins behind for you to enjoy. I know nothing expensive, just $1 bag of gold chocolate coins from Target. :)

As you can see we invited him by making sure no matter what he could see our invite in day or in night. We used glow in the dark chalk.

And just in case Lucky decided to stop at our house we would need to make him a treat for him to take on he road.

And finally the morning of St. Patrick's Day the boys woke up to a riddle that they had to figure out in order to find their treasure. Yes, as you can see they got chocolate coins and a pair of pj's but the pj's were on sale at $3.99 each so I couldn't resist. In order to make it fair the bay had to get something as well.

What a heck of a St. Patrick's Day this one turned out to be. In the midst of being Lucky the Leprechaun we about didn't get to invite Lucky to our house since we had to help Alex with the trucks on Saturday, and then on Saturda night I had to make a trip to the ER with Aiden which lasted until 4am, following that we had to return to the ER at around 7am and we were there until 2pm. I was exhausted but we had dinner at the in-laws so I put my big girl panties on and mustard through the day. :)

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY 2013
